Event Permit applications in Utah County must be submitted at least 30 days before your event date.

When Do I Need a Permit?

You need an event permit if your event:
  • Uses public spaces such as county buildings, parks, roads, or trails
  • Affects public access or safety
  • Includes amplified sound, food vendors, temporary structures, road closures, or has more than 50 people
  • You do not need a permit for small private gatherings, such as:
  • Family picnics or birthday parties
  • Events under 50 people.
  • Events that stay within a reserved area, don't involve sales, and don't disrupt others.

If you're unsure whether your event needs a permit, contact Utah County Public Works at 801-851-8600.
