When Do I Need a Permit?
You need an event permit if your event:- Uses public spaces such as county buildings, parks, roads, or trails
- Affects public access or safety
- Includes amplified sound, food vendors, temporary structures, road closures, or has more than 50 people
- You do not need a permit for small private gatherings, such as:
- Family picnics or birthday parties
- Events under 50 people.
- Events that stay within a reserved area, don't involve sales, and don't disrupt others.
If you're unsure whether your event needs a permit, contact Utah County Public Works at 801-851-8600.
